Meet our team. Here are the trustees that all volunteer their time to run Friends of prettygate. While this is the main team, we are supported by many other great parent volunteers. Without the team, we couldn’t run everything we do.

Sarah – Co-Chair

I have two children at the school. I have been helping for 2 years. I started helping out because I wanted to make a difference to my and all the childrens school experience. When the old team left I wanted to help more, I ended up being chair. Seeing the children enjoy the things we organise for them is so rewarding, to know we’ve made a difference to their school experience.

Hollie – Co-Chair

I Have two children at the school. As a qualified teacher and a governor, I know how important the support that organisations like Friends of Prettygate give to a school and the children. When an opportunity to help out came up, I offered up my support. I found everyone so friendly that soon I was doing more and was then voted in to be a co-chair alongside Sarah in 2023. I am passionate about enabling children to have a positive experience of school and leave with happy memories.

Jayne – Secretary

My two children attend the school as well. As an Environment Officer, I am passionate about helping children engage with nature while learning and having fun. A new junior forest school area, an orchard, and a small wildflower meadow were some of the outside natural enhancements I assisted the school with creating. In addition, I assist with after-school activities such as gardening and climate change clubs, and when time permits, I participate in school trips and theme days. It was from my early career as a PA and secretary that I can use my experience to support Friends of Prettygate. I am pleased, as a member of Friends of Prettygate, that we can help the school provide opportunities for all children to grow, have a pleasant school experience and succeed.

Dom – Treasurer

I have two children at Prettygate and was happy to support the school in any way I could, when I was asked to join the friends two years ago. (I didn’t expect that would involve dressing as Spider Man at the summer fair!) I’m proud to play a small part in the great work the friends do.
